Pope’s confessor has Medjugorje connection

The confessor to Pope Francis in Buenos Aires for the past three years is a Franciscan, originally from the small town of Citluk just a short distance of two miles from the village of Medjugorje in Hercegovina!

Fr Berislav Ostojic describes Pope Francis as “a holy man... very, very intelligent. A quiet man and close to the people, especially the poor. He loves orphans. He is always welcomed with much love.”

Fr Berislav is the pastor of Jose Ingenieros in Hurlingham, Buenos Aires and shares pastoral duties with his brother Fr Jordan, also a Franciscan.

The two brothers belong to the Franciscan Province of St Jerome in Zadar.
