“...but you are struggling and spending your energies in the battle with the good and the evil that are in you.”
MONDAY 25 February, 2013
When questioned by Fr Livio Fanzaga on Radio Maria about the above phrase in the latest message to the world by Our Lady, the Medjugorje seer Marija responded: “I think the Madonna meant that we often think of doing good, but in reality we are doing evil; that often the devil comes in the disguise of good, instead of evil...”
Sound familiar? It should do. It echoes the words spoken by Pope Benedict XVI in his final Angelus address last Sunday when he said:
“When he began his public ministry Jesus had to unmask and dismiss the Tempter’s false portrayal of the Messiah. But these temptations are also a false portrayal of man, which threaten our conscience, disguised as proposals that seem convenient, efficient and even good. The Tempter is devious: he does not push us towards evil directly, but towards a false good, making us believe that the real things that matter are power and whatever satisfies our primary needs.”

Once again, Our Lady, Mother of the Church, and Benedict XVI, visible head of the Church on earth, sing from the same hymn sheet.
